Safety on Safari Tours: Hazards to Avoid and Golden Rules

Safety First: Things to Consider During a Safari

By nature, safari involves rugged terrain and variable road conditions. To ensure the fun doesn't turn into an accident, it's vital to follow our driving and participation rules.

Common Mistakes Made While Driving

Some mistakes made by ATV and Buggy drivers, especially in the heat of excitement, can have dangerous consequences:

  • Exceeding the Speed Limit: Off-road vehicles do not react like vehicles on flat roads. Excessive speed can cause the vehicle to tip over in corners.
  • Zigzagging: Trying to pass other vehicles or zigzagging while moving in a group increases the risk of collision.
  • Putting Feet Outside the Vehicle: Never put your feet outside to support yourself during jolts; this can lead to serious injury.

Critical Warnings

For your safety, these rules are non-negotiable:

  1. Helmet Use: Wearing a helmet is mandatory throughout the tour. A helmet is your most important protector in case of a fall or impact.
  2. Guide Instructions: You must immediately follow our guide's signals to stop or slow down. Going off-route can lead to unknown pits or cliffs.
  3. Alcohol Restriction: To avoid endangering driving safety, alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited before and during the tour.

Note on Health Conditions

Guests with herniated discs, neck problems, heart conditions, and pregnant women are not recommended to participate in our bumpy off-road tours (ATV, Buggy, Jeep). In such cases, you can choose the calmer option, Horse Safari.
